Illinois Solar for All community solar subscriber in Skokie projected to save $480 per year without installing solar panels

A local community action agency in Skokie, IL, Humans at Help Foundation launched a community solar program with Clean Earth Renewables for income-eligible residents in the Greater Skokie area. The program's first subscriber, is now scheduled to start contributing to a local community solar project and saving up to 20% off of their home's electric bill when this community solar project becomes operational in the early winter of 2025. The local resident was eligible for the 20% discount because a member of their family was a recipient of medicaid, a third-party approved program to earn the 20% community solar dicsount under the Illinois Solar For All program. Other notable approved third-party programs for eligible subscribers include LIHEAP, SNAP, WIC, IHWAP, and HUD. By walking in or scheduling an appointment with the Humans at Help Foundation and showing a copy of an electric bill and a thir-party program award letter, local residents can participate in the Illinois Solar For All community solar program and earn an on-bill credit monthly discount of up to 20%. There is no cost to join, and no installation of solar panels required.

There are over 250 spots left on this community solar project for local residents to participate, save, and support clean energy.
